Beyblade Metal Fusion Spinning Tops from Hasbro
71
With the Anime being a big hit in Japan, Beyblade Metal Fusion made its way over to the United States in the fall of 2010. Along with the anime came a line of new toys produced by Hasbro.
The Beyblade toys seem to have been very successful so far as I've, even recently (early/mid January), seen some Wal-Marts with ZERO Beyblade on the shelf...just empty pegs.
There are various lines of the Beyblades offered which I'll discuss in further detail below. In short, these include single packs, 2-packs, electronic beyblades, small keychains, battle arenas, various launchers and accessories, and video games.
Beyblade Metal Fusion Single Packs
We'll start off with what seems to be the most popular Beyblade Toy Line...the Metal Fusion Single Packs. These have an MSRP of about $8 but may vary a bit depending on the retailer. Some of these are very hard to find as some sell on Amazon for about 3-4x retail. Currently, the most expensive ones on Amazon include: Flame Libra, Burn Fireblaze, and Poison Serpent. In all, there are currently about 20 different single packs available with another six that, if they aren't already in some areas, should start showing up in retail soon. The newest six will be Cyber Pegasus, Midnight Bull, Torch Aries, Night Virgo, Fury Capricorn, and Hyber Aquario.

Beyblade Metal Fusion Two-Packs
The Two-Packs are basically the same as the single packs except you get 2 beyblades in a single package and retail for about $15. In general, the 2-packs have 1 Beyblade that is available in the single packs plus a 2nd one that is not. Each also has a name on the package for the pair. For example...the "Metal Wing Smash 2-pack" includes Earth Eagle, which is also available on its own in the single packs, as well as Dark Libra. There is a Flame Libra available in the single packs, but Dark Libra, at least currently, is not. Currently there are 9 different 2-packs available. A 10th one, with Burn Fireblaze and Poison Serpent (which are actually both available in single packs and are both amongst the most valueable ones right now), should be hitting retail soon.
Also, there is a Toys R Us Exclusive 3-pack which I personally have NOT seen at either Toys R Us store that I frequent for at least 4-6 weeks now. At some point in November I believe Toys R Us had them on sale for as low as $15 or $18 or so. On Amazon it now fetches about triple that. This 3-pack features Earth Eagle, Evil Gemios, and Dark Bull.

Beyblade Metal Fusion Electronic Tops
Next up in the Beyblade toy line are the electronic tops. These retail for about $10 each and come complete with flashing lights, metal clashing sounds, and a two piece launcher. These are larger in size than the standard beyblades and currently have a much more limited selection. Currently, there are only 4 different electronic tops to chose from...Storm Pegasus, Dark Wolf, Rock Leone, and Lightning L-Drago.

More Coming Soon!
Will add more about the keychains, battle arenas, DS games, etc in the coming days!
If there is any other Beyblade information you think we should include, please comment and let us know. Maybe including a full checklist with the beyblade numbers would be beneficial? Your input is welcome!
